When should I have a post- natal consult?

It is important to get a good latch right at the beginning, the first 60min of baby's birth are referred to as the golden hours. Nursing during this time heightens the dyad's bonds and activate baby's instinct to nurse in the first few days of baby's life.

Why is it important to have a post- natal consult?

Ensuring a good latch and providing support to ensure the establishment of a stable milk supply and routine impacts the length of time a mum and baby will breastfeed.

Anyone who will be part of your support system can be present.
