Lactation Services - Pre natal consult

Pre-natal consult:

What happens in a pre - natal consult?

Before baby comes we will consult about breastmilk and why it is baby’s most wholesome food.

We discuss what may happen, what to prepare, learn about positioning for latching and preparing yourself and your space for breastfeeding. We discuss routines and expectations and how to manage them.

When should I have a pre- natal consult?

Having a consult in the 2nd - 3rd trimester gives you ample time to plan and prepare for baby's arrival.

Why is it important to have a pre- natal consult?

It gives you clarity and evidence-based information allowing you to make informed decisions. This helps to reduce confusion and stress in your baby's feeding journey.

Who can be present in this consult?

Anyone who will be part of your support system can be present.

Individual vs group sessions

Individual sessions are recommended for a highly personal session to ask the questions you need to clarify.

If you have a group of friends or family also requiring a pre natal consult and are comfortable and would love to consult together that also works!

If you would like to do a group consult with other mums, I can co- ordinate with other mums to make it happen. It is important to note that group dynamics vary and its important that you enjoy group settings to ensure that you get the information you need.

1.5 hr session - $180 (1:1 session)

2 hr session - $150 each ( 2 - 4 pax in a session)
